VIP night at Hooters
"I spend enough money in Hooters to put a kid through college. Hence I wasn't that surprised the other day when one of the waitresses slipped me an invite to their annual anniversary party for their regulars..., though I've always maintained that I go there for the chicken first and the titties second."
Bloc Party - The Prayer
"The bad news (and I hope I'm not breaking this to anyone)? Bloc Party lead singer Kele Okereke is teh ghey. You guys know I try to be open minded about these things (nullus), but I don't know if I'll ever be able to listen to a Bloc Party song again and not know what it's really about. Which is kind of odd when you think that the issue before was that you never really knew what the fuck Bloc Party was singing about. (Or maybe I'm just straight like that.) Indeed the trend with this new album seems to be teh gheying things up a bit, to go after that U2/Coldplay audience.
"The Prayer" has a heavier drum beat than most of the rest of what they've done (it actually reminds me more of how they sound live than anything on Silent Alarm), but the chorus is suitably "soaring," complete with Edge-like guitar work courtesy of whoever their guitarist is."
